I am a Software Engineer based in Pakistan with a background in Electrical Engineering. My transition from hardware to software was driven by a fascination with how code can orchestrate complex physical systems, a journey that started with Arduino micro-controllers and led me deep into the world of System Design and backend architecture.

My journey started with hobbyist projects around embedded systems which allowed me to develop programs in low-level environments. Today, I am focusing my learning on building high-performance APIs and microservices.

I started my own homelab using old office PCs and a cloud VPS developing my skills in linux systems and docker deployments.

Experience

2024-2025

Software Engineer . Softmatics

Architected an end-to-end IoT monitoring system to identify and record machine downtime, enabling data-driven strategies to minimize failure points and maximize operational efficiency.

Developed and deployed custom ESP32-based hardware equipped with current sensors as client devices with WiFi capability and integrated them with FastAPI backend utilizing REST APIs to securely log and manage sensor data on internal company servers.

Hardened internal communication by implementing HTTPS encryption between ESP32 nodes and Nginx Reverse Proxy within an air-gapped network. Engineered a custom networking solution by modifying the ESP HTTPClient library to support Host Headers without DNS, ensuring secure TLS handshakes using static IP addressing.
